Former TCI Premier Michael Misick’s Defense Team Returns To Supreme Court

TURKS & CAICOS ISLANDS -Former Turks and Caicos Islands Premier Michael Misick’s defense team returns to the supreme court today.

Misick, along with former premier McAllister “Piper” Hanchell and former cabinet minister Thomas “Chal” Missick, was convicted on bribery-related charges in February 2026.

Michael Misick is appealing his conviction and sentence.

Today, his defense is seeking the recusal of justice Colin Williams, alleging bias over recent remarks made during court proceedings.

The consultant says concerns over judicial impartiality, the prison sentence, and confiscation proceedings ahead of the appeal raise serious questions about fairness and what the consultant describes as lingering British colonial-style influence in the territory.
