NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS – Videos circulating on social media showing the gruesome scene from a passing motorist.

Upon the arrival of the officers, they found a grey Mazda sedan that had collided with a tree and the lifeless bodies of three teenage girls.

In a press statement issued after 6:00am, on Sunday, law enforcement disclosed that shortly before 5:00 am, investigators were alerted by hospital staff that a fourth female victim had died from injuries sustained in the collision.

Up until news time, officials have reported that a 25-year-old male remains in hospital in critical condition.

Reports also indicate that a 19-year-old male was driving the vehicle and survived the horrific ordeal, sustaining a broken wrist.

Other survivors include a 21-year-old male and a 19-year-old female, both are listed in stable condition.

Several parliamentarians expressed their condolences via social media following the news.

Minister of Youth and Sports Mario Bowleg revealing one of the deceased as Betrica Brown.

The minister shared that the teenager was set to start college on a full scholarship to pursue volleyball.

Prime Minister Philip Davis wrote, “Ann and I are heartbroken by the tragic loss of four young women in the early hours of this morning due to a fatal car accident. We extend our deepest condolences to their families, loved ones, friends, classmates, and every person whose life has been forever changed by this devastating tragedy.
