ABACO – Pom poms and red lights filled Ingraham’s Park in Abaco as supporters of the Free National Movement assembled for the party’s Cooper’s Town rally.

The event highlighting the party’s candidate for North Abaco, former educator Terrece Bootle with several candidates out of the capital also taking the stage during the night, like Garden Hills candidate Rick Fox and candidate for Southern Shores, Abaco native, Denalee Penn-Mackey.

Penn-Mackey calling into question the progress the Progressive Liberal Party speaks of.

“Tell me why the Cooper’s Town norgue is still dysfunctional? Tell me why the morgue on Moore’s Island has still not been delivered.” – Denalee Penn-Mackey

And Bootle echoing those feelings, recounting the challenges residents on the island are currently facing.

“Tonight Abaco is falling apart, from five years of neglect. We will not pretend otherwise. I walked in the clinic in Cooper’s Town and saw the once great Cooper’s Town Clinic giving way to collapse. I have driven the roads from Central Pines to Crown Haven that shakes your vehicle and shakes your nerve in broad daylight” – Terrece Bootle

Should the FNM obtain the North Abaco seat, it would signify a historic occasion for the constituency, as they would be electing their first female representative.

“This is not just politics for me this is about my people, It’s about purpose.” – Terrece Bootle
