GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – While the push for growth in agriculture is going strong, one Freeport farmer tells Our News, things can get a little complicated in the nation’s second city.
That’s Tiffany Dennison, owner and operator of Local Organics Limited, an aquaponic farm in Freeport.
She tells us while most Family Island farmers can enjoy the myriad of new services from the Ministry of Agriculture available on MyGateway, aspiring farmers in Freeport still have a major hurdle.
Dennison says if we are serious about growing and encouraging agriculture, we have to work through some of the more exclusionary red-tape like expensive licenses.
