Funeral Service Industry to be Regulated
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Consumer Protection Commission is looking to regulate the funeral service industry as the industry’s legislation is 154 years old.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Consumer Protection Commission is looking to regulate the funeral service industry as the legislation that speaks to the industry is 154 years old.
Senior Education, Research, and Training Supervisor Lavade Darling confirming as much, suggesting the legislation is outdated.
He says the commission is looking at other jurisdictions to see how their laws address the industry.
He says the commission has received complaints about the industry.
Darling is calling on the attorney general to assist in moving the amendments forward.
