MATYLAND, UNITED STATES – Steven Gardiner took first place in the 400m at the PVA High Performance Meet in Landover, Maryland, clocking 45.68 seconds.

Though shy of his personal best (43.48), it marks a strong return after a foot and tendon injury sidelined him from defending his Olympic title. Jarett Gentles and Malcolm Brown placed second and third.

Baseball Roundup: Jazz Ignites Yankees Comeback
Jazz Chisholm helped fuel a dramatic Yankees rally in a 12–9 win over the Braves. He went 1-for-5 with a key RBI single and scored a run, sparking momentum after a heated exchange with Braves coach Eddie Perez. Volpe tied the game in the 8th with a solo shot, and Grisham sealed it in the 9th with a 3-run homer.

Meanwhile, Antoan Richardson and the Mets fell 5–2 to the Reds, with Brett Baty providing their only highlight via solo homer.

Walcott Dominates in the Minors
Texas Rangers prospect Sebastian Walcott had a standout night, going 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs, 2 runs, and his 20th stolen base for the Frisco RoughRiders in a 3–0 win over the Hooks. He drove in two with a home run and scored the team’s only other run, accounting for all of Frisco’s offense.
