GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – The Grand Bahama community came together this past Saturday night for a worthy cause at a benefit dinner for the Grand Bahama Children’s Home.

Social Services Minister Obie Wilchcombe said he’s pleased with the turnout.

He said that very few know the difficulties, circumstances or trouble that many of our young people face. A $20,000 cheque was presented to the home on behalf of the Weller Development Company.

Patron of the home and the Prime Minister’s wife, Anne Marie Davis, was in attendance for the occasion.

Wilchombe commended Mrs. Davis for the advancement of women and children in the nation.
