GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – The delayed redevelopment of the Grand Bahama International Airport and the failed sale of the Grand Lucayan Resort is weighing heavily on Grand Bahamians.

Magnus Alnebeck, general manager of Pelican Bay Hotel, is also weighing in on the topic.

You may be wondering why their general manager would be so eager for their competitor to open.

Alnebeck warns, the longer the Grand Lucayan sits, the more difficult a sale may be.

He also urges against only looking for the biggest, global-level brands, saying they have let Grand Bahama down in the past.
