NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A British expat who met The Queen during one of her visits to The Bahamas is weighing in on her death.

Virginia Cafferata reflected fondly on the life of the monarch and says she met the queen when she visited Grand Bahama in the 1970s. Cafferata adding that what she remembers most is The Queen’s smile and sense of humor.

She says England will take a long time to recover from this loss, adding that King Charles now has a great role to fill. 

Speaking of the new king, Cafferata also had the chance to meet him at a local beach in Grand Bahama.
