GB Retreat Hopes to Boost Local Writers

GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – There’s a wealth of Bahamian talent being overlooked when it comes to creative writing, and a one day workshop at Dilly Oasis in Grand Bahama this weekend is hoping to jumpstart the next round of greats.

Lisa Corella one of the co-facilitators of the write out loud writers retreat, compares Bahamian creatives’ experience to that of our athletes.

The one day writer’s retreat includes Dr. Ian Strachan as the featured guest speaker and includes lunch and dinner.

Co-facilitator Susan Jensen-Sweeting says the social aspect is imperative to creating the much needed community for writers as they develop their craft.
