GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Students over on Grand Bahama are back in class on the first day of the academic term.

It was a quiet return to school. It started off as a wet morning, but the sun quickly came out as parents ushered their youngsters onto school campuses.

Principal of Freeport Primary School Gia Walker says it feels good to be back, and this year, they’re making up for time lost.

Parent, Jermaine Grant says he’s hoping for a successful academic year.
