General Congregation Of Catholic Cardinals Begins Tuesday

VATICAN – Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re has summoned all cardinals to a general congregation Tuesday to decide on key events following the death of Pope Francis on Monday at the age of 88.

His funeral is set for this Saturday.

Tributes are pouring in worldwide, with mourning periods declared from Argentina to Spain.

Prince William and Ukraine’s president are expected to attend the funeral, while Russia has yet to name a delegate.

Francis’ body will be moved to St. Peter’s Basilica Wednesday for public viewing.
