NASSAU, BAHAMAS – As extensive road work continues on Village Road, you may be interested in works on another major thoroughfare that are now in the pipeline.
For years, motorists traveling the Gladstone Road thoroughfare have suffered through traffic congestion, particularly on busy mornings during back to school, as road users often navigate open trenches and bumpy patches.
But Works Minister Alfred Sears says a new project to repair the major roadway is currently being designed and consultations will commence shortly.
The works minister says the project is a part of the urban planning and retrofitting of the city, to improve the quality of life efficiency and provide more efficient utilities.
While he could not say exactly when consultation would begin, Sears says preliminary work is being done.
