NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Governor General Cynthia “Mother” Pratt delivered her first speech from the throne. This is the second from the Davis administration and the first for the new GG.

However, it got off to an emotional start as the West Grand Bahama and Bimini seat remains vacant for now.

Wilchcombe also served as leader of government business, he will be replaced by National Security Minister Wayne Munroe.

The procedures were eventually followed by the reading of the speech from the throne by newly minted Governor General Cynthia “Mother” Pratt.

The speech focused on five key pillars, cost of living, education, crime, healthcare, and jobs.

The plan is to expand jobs, and opportunities but also promote economic ownership.

The Davis administration also plans to implement a Public Service Reform Bill.

They also promised to repeal and replace the current Stem Cell Act to tighten its regulatory framework. It is a piece of legislation passed under the former Christie Administration.

There was also the promise of a National Development Plan Bill, amendments to the Supreme Court Act to make way for five new justices, and a promise on cannabis.
