NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Politicians and dignitaries paying their respects to The Queen as the Governor General of The Bahamas Cornelius A. Smith, commencing the signing of the late Queen’s Book of Condolences on Friday morning. 

Governor General Cornelius A. Smith, was the first to sign the official book of condolences for Queen Elizabeth II, this morning. He was followed by Prime Minister, Philip Davis, British High Commissioner, Mr. Thomas Hartley, and a lineup  of other Bahamian dignitaries. Former Prime Ministers Minnis, Christie, and Ingraham, as well as former Governor General Dame Marguerite Pindling, among those paying their respects to The Queen.

Prime Minister Davis offered condolences and shared his thoughts on The Queens lasting influence.

British High Commissioner, Thomas Hartley shared their plan for the mourning period. He also offered his condolences to the Bahamian people and spoke to The Queen’s legacy.
