NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The meeting between government and members of The Bahamas Pharmacy Association was a win-win, according to Economic Affairs Minister Michael Halkitis, as stakeholders brought the media up to speed, Thursday afternoon.

Chargrega McPhee, a clinical pharmacist, explains that some medications were added to the price control list, to extend coverage of medications for non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, cancer and renal conditions.

In the long-term, McPhee says there is a long-term goal to ensure Bahamians have access to better-priced medication.
