GRENADA – Starting January 1 next year, Grenadian employers, including the government, will increase minimum salaries for all workers.

As per the official gazette, the new minimum is set at EC$1,200 per month – that’s about $444 U.S.

The expanded categories now include media workers, call center workers, construction site helpers, and sanitation workers.

During the parliamentary debate on the 2024 national budget, Labour Minister Claudette Joseph said the change, which is the first since 2011, follows public consultations and aligns with the employment act’s recommendation for adjustments every three years.
