NASSAU, BAHAMAS – When it comes to having a smooth process at the polls there are a few things voters can do to make it as seamless as possible, as the Parliamentary Registration Department (PRD) releases a few helpful tips, they say can go a long way.

Those tips include bringing either your purple voters card, a biometric voters card, a Bahamian passport, or Bahamian driver’s license.

When it comes to where to vote, be sure to look up the polling place for your constituency before heading out the door to vote.

The full listing of those sites can be found at election.gov.bs.

It’s also important to ensure you’re as comfortable as possible, so it’s important you bring water, a portable fan, or even an umbrella.

If you have a medical condition, don’t forget to bring any medication you might need during your time at the polling station.

Also, here’s what the PRD considers big no-no’s on election day:

Don’t play loud music or use profanity, don’t cut in line, don’t solicit votes for candidates, and of course, remember to behave appropriately at the ballot booth.

With these helpful hints, you’re sure to have a much more seamless process at the polls.
