The Star Guard Scored 21, Angered Celtics Fans

Coming into Monday night’s play-in quarterfinal game, Buddy Hield and his Indiana Pacers were favored by experts to lose to the Boston Celtics by 5.5 points. But Buddy and the gang did not care about any of that.

The 6’4” shooter from Grand Bahama scored 21 points, including the last five of the game for Indiana, to put the Celtics away, 122-112.

Hield had an efficient night from the field going 7-11 from the floor and 4-6 from the three-point line, however, he did throw some sand in the face of the Celtics at the end of the game, taking and making a three-pointer when at the final buzzer then the game was all but done:

For what it was worth, Buddy took the criticism in stride, noting his team’s status as the underdog.:

Pacers point guard, and league assist leader Tyrese Haliburton, who is in the midst of a monster of a season dropped a triple-double with 26 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists.

The Pacers are on to Las Vegas on Thursday night where they will play the winner of tonight’s matchup between the Milwaukee Bucks and the New York Knicks.
