NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Politicians past and present along with senior law enforcement officers signing the book of condolences for historian, activist, and author the late Dr. Gail Saunders.

Saunders who was 79 established The Bahamian National Archives and was the director from 1971 to 2004.

She also served as President of The Bahamas Historical Society from 1989 to1999. She was a scholar-in-residence at the University of The Bahamas.

Saunders was married to the late Attorney Dr. Winston Saunders.

Other parliamentarians also lined up to speak of the mark Dr. Saunders left behind.
