NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The second annual Hoopfest In Paradise High School Basketball Tournament began Friday featuring 10 teams – six boys teams, two from The Bahamas and six girls teams as well.

Glenn Smith is the organizer.

Bimini native, 6’5 shooting guard, VJ Edgecombe plays for Long Island Lutheran High School out of New York. He tells us what it’s like to be back home.

Swimming

Algernon Cargill is the president of Bahamas Aquatics and he spoke about this year’s CARIFTA swim team who dominated the games in Curacao back in April and that wasn’t all.

Then there was the Goodwill Team who traveled to Jamaica back in august.
