NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Gas prices are continuing to climb around the globe. Here in The Bahamas, many Bahamian households are weighing the expenses associated with each car ride.

Marlena Leonard shares more in this report.

With gas prices in New Providence nearing $7 a gallon at some stations and exceeding $7 a gallon at others, Bahamians try to find ways to make their dollars stretch at the pump.

Our News reached out to Bahamas Petroleum Retailers Association Vice-President, Vasco Bastian for some insight, but he declined to comment.

However, Acting Prime Minister Chester Cooper responded to questions about rising gas prices earlier today.

Meanwhile, many New Providence residents express an acceptance of the situation, and detail how they have made adjustments.

But for those whose jobs require lots of driving, they’re unable to scale back their gas consumption- and some grow frustrated.
