UNITED STATES – Hundreds are still missing after catastrophic flooding from Hurricane Helene devastated towns and cut power to over a million homes in the Southeastern U.S., according to authorities.

The storm, now downgraded to a Tropical Storm, has claimed 135 lives across 6 states, with numbers expected to rise.

North Carolina’s Western region saw 300 roads closed, complicating recovery efforts.

Buncombe County, home to Asheville, is reeling from what local officials call “biblical devastation.”

President Biden is expected to visit the region this week.
