Hurricane Relief Supplies Leave Florida for Jamaica

UNITED STATES – Place of Hope in West Palm Beach is sending twenty-five barrels of hurricane relief supplies to Jamaica after monster storm Melissa left families struggling to rebuild.

The nonprofit’s Shade Tree Family Outreach Program collected food, first-aid kits, hygiene items, tarps, and other essentials through a community-wide drive.

A public send-off is scheduled for Wednesday at ten a.m. at the KidSanctuary Campus Compassion Center.

Place of Hope says the effort was made possible through partners like Community of Hope, The Benjamin School, and Cleveland Clinic — as they continue supporting families in crisis year-round.
