UNITED STATES – Illegal crossings at the U.S.-Mexico border have plunged to their lowest level in 25 years, thanks to aggressive counterterrorism efforts under president Donald Trump.

That’s according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) which reports a 95% drop in illegal migrant apprehensions, from about 250,000 in December 2023 to roughly 7,000 by March 2025.

New security zones, drones, and A.I. surveillance now cover former hotspots like Cristo Rey Mountain.
