On Thursday, I visited Landfall Park, the officially recognized spot were Colombus stepped foot in The Bahamas.
Tour guide and photographer Janet Storr tells us about the marker left in his honor.
The park is also home to other monuments.
Columbus’ landing also left an impression on the Japanese who also chose to make their mark.
And thats not all, the south eastern island also got a taste of the 1968 Olympics.
