NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The country celebrated its 51st independence on Wednesday. To mark the major event, the Atlantis Resort hosted its annual festivities.

The Royal Deck came alive once again, rocking with Bahamian pride as guests, locals, and employees came out to enjoy the festivities.

Unfortunately, the outside celebrations came to a halt as sudden inclement weather affected the island.

However, I was told one of the reasons why the resort proclaims to be the entertainment capital of the region is because, in true Bahamian style, nothing will stop the show.

The team quickly pivoted inside with a Junkanoo experience that shook the Royal Tower.

The drums’ vibrating pulse against the tower’s walls was the sweetest thing I’ve heard in a while.

The rhythm of Bahamian music will continue all weekend at Bar Sol.

Finally, their famous fireworks display will take place tonight at 9 p.m.
