NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The crowds flocking to Exuma this weekend are a just a glimpse into what’s to come now that Family Island events have resumed. Jerome Sawyer reports on efforts to make the events even better.

 



And, it’s this belief that’s motivating the Manager of the Festivals and Homecoming Section Angelique McKay to try and improve many of the country wide festivals.

The announcement of the return of these events is kickstarting her work in an advisory role.

And whether it’s a festival tournament or homecoming approval is based on budget submissions.

These islands provide very unique surroundings; something they encourage organizers to utilize.

A good example is a sponging exhibit in Mangrove Cay, Andros put on at the Annual Seafood Festival.

Yet, there are times conflicts arise when there are competing events.
