Inside UB: Study Abroad and Student Exchange Programmes

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – University of The Bahamas’ Global Vision is giving students the chance to experience new cultures, gain new perspectives and build connections they can bring back home.

One of those students is Lou-ombre Frelat, an exchange student from France, who is studying environmental sciences at the University of The Bahamas.

Since high school, Jazmyne Carey has dreamed of global opportunities that could shape her future.

As a business and marketing student at UB, she got the chance to study abroad, and embraced it, saying the experience expanded her vision of what was possible and showed her just how far those opportunities could take her.

“I think it’s amazing honestly, I learned about the opportunity through my club, the National Society of Leadership and Success. They had posted a flyer of a seminar, and honestly…I decided to just go to a bunch of seminars to see what opportunities was available that UB had for students.”

For Jazmyne, studying abroad was about more than traveling, it was about testing the limits of what’s possible.

She saw how global industries could inspire new opportunities back home in The Bahamas, and how stepping beyond expectations can change what students believe they’re capable of.
