That’s recording artist V’Ghn, and he’s currently making waves in the soca scene with his latest hit, “Jab Decisions.”

The Grenadian artist has embarked on a world tour, hosted a grand concert in his native country, revolutionized soca performances through his Unplugged series, made his debut on BBC Live Lounge, and more, all within a single year.

All achievements, he tells me, he’s grateful for.

And now, he’s adding another accolade to his résumé.

V’Ghn has returned as the soca representative for Spotify’s 2026 Carnival Sounds campaign.

His involvement has integrated him into the history of Notting Hill Carnival as the campaign commemorates the 60th anniversary of this massive event.

“This year, we’re doing this, this is their first time ever doing the live. So it’s amazing, and you know, they pitched the opportunity and I’m honored to be a part.”

Staged to embody the spirit of Carnival, with Jab elements in the background, he delivered a live acoustic performance of soca icon Kes’ “Hello” and his track “Jab Decisions.”

V’Ghn described it as a moment of confidence.

“Were you intimidated in any way because Kes is a performer? No. Yeah, I’m a performer.”

And most importantly, pride, recognizing that he was no longer battling to achieve his dreams, but serving as an ambassador of Caribbean excellence.

“I just wanted to sing well. I just wanted to perform well. I wanted everybody that was working, so much people in the room, the camera people, the security, everybody that was there for all their hard work, I just wanted to represent myself well. I wanted to represent the genre well. I wanted to perform and sing well, and I think I did just that.”
