NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The death of a wife and mother of three is causing quite a stir on social media, exposing what she dealt with once she was admitted. The health minister is on the record saying an investigation has been launched.

Kenise Darville was admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital on January 2, 2023 after experiencing severe pain. She died a little over two weeks later.

Before her untimely death, she took to social media on  January 11, bringing her current status to light.

After visiting a private clinic, she went to PMH because she didn’t have medical insurance or the money to be admitted to Doctor’s Hospital.

She said blood tests were done and revealed that her platelet counts were low.

The wife and mother of three believed health officials waited too late to advise her that she needed family and friends to donate blood.

We put the issue that’s sparking widespread outrage on social media to Health Minister Dr. Michael Darville, who said a probe into the matter is being conducted.

Dr. Darville admitted there are challenges in healthcare facilities around the world, and locally, they’re working to address facility and manpower issues at the hospital.
