IRAN – Iran said on Monday that an initial peace deal reached with the United States last month is in a state of “crisis” following a weekend of attacks stretching across the wider Middle East

Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman said that Iran has never been the first to violate its commitments and blamed Washington for the chaos gripping the Middle East.

He emphasised that the Strait of Hormuz can’t “Become a place from which Iran’s national security is threatened”.

Both the U.S and Iran asserted on Monday that they controlled the Strait of Hormuz, as attacks continued overnight and on Monday.
