NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Free National Movement along with the Coalition of Independents are lashing out at PLP Chairman Fred Mitchell who advised Immigration Minister Keith Bell to remain silent on the controversy surrounding allegations within his ministry.

FNM Leader Michael Pintard says it’s not good advice, adding Mitchell should not serve as party chairman, public service, and foreign affairs minister.

In a recent voice memo, Mitchell said he told Bell not to respond because it would not be beneficial to do so.

Meanwhile, Coalition of Independents Leader Lincoln Bain says Mitchell’s comments were concerning.
