NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A family of seven is homeless after a blaze on Monday night destroyed their home in the Kool Acres Subdivision Shantytown.

The mother of six says she was not home at the time of the blaze and can no longer work to support her family because of the fire.

As they continue to try to piece their lives together, the family is relying on neighbours to make ends meet.

Firefighters were called to the scene shortly after 9 p.m. that night where they met a single-story structure ablaze.
