GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Teams from several islands wrapped up the Grand Bahama Regional of the High School Soccer Nationals.

Abaco’s Patrick A. Bethel High School took down the Tabernacle Baptist Falcons on their home pitch 3-0 in the third-place game to win bronze.

In the regional final, hometown favorites, the St. George’s Jaguars made a big statement, routing North Eleuthera high 6-2 to take the Grand Bahama Northern Group title.

Coach Antoan Richardson and his New York Mets got a win in their subway series, beating the New York yankees 3-2.

Pete Alonzo hit a double and drove in a run in the win.

The Yanks are still without Jazz Chisholm, who strained his oblique earlier this month, but he’s already practicing at full-speed so his return is imminent.

Down in the minors at the double a level Texas rangers prospect Sebastian Walcott left the yard for a 2-run shot, his 5th of the season.

He could have used 2 more RBI.

His Frisco roughriders lost 6-4 to the corpus christi hooks.

Kristian Robinson went 1-4 with a single in his Amarillo SOD Poodles’ 4-3 loss to the Springfield Cardinals.

And Bj Murray contributed a single and an RBI to his Knoxville Smokies’ 5-0 shutout of the Columbus Clingstones.
