UNITED STATES – Antoan Richardson and his New York Mets got the 5-0 win over the Toronto Blue Jays in Queens last night. Pete Alonzo went 1-3 with a home run and a couple of RBI.

Jazz Chisholm was 0-5 with a couple of K’s but it didn’t matter, the Yankees rolled 9-4 over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Big Aaron Judge (who else) launched his 6th home run in 7 games in that one.

It was also opening day for a lot of teams down in the minors and a couple of Bahamians played in their first games.

Sebastian Walcott smacked a double and had an rbi in his Frisco Roughriders loss of 7-5 to the Corpus Christie Hooks.

Kristian Robinson went 1-5 and he made the last out of the game on a strikeout as his Amaraillo Sod Poodles lost 5-4 to the San Antonio Missions.

BJ Murray went 1-5 with a single and a run as his Knoxville Smokies lost 6-4 to the Birmingham Barons.

NBA

The Dubs took down the Denver Nuggets 118-104 last night in San Francisco. Buddy Hield came off the bench for 5 points on one made 3 in 17 minutes. Steph Curry had 36 points and 5 assists.

Nikola Jokic had a slight 33 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists.

This is the dubs’ 5th straight win and the second win in back-to-back nights. They took down the Lakers on Thursday.

They’re currently in 5th place and out of the dreaded play-in tournament.

Now Klay Thompson, Kai Jones and the Dallas Mavericks fell 114-91 to the LA Clippers, Kai’s former team.

Klay had two points in only 13 minutes while kai had 9 off the bench.
