UNITED STATES – Jazz Chisolm and the Miami Marlins’ season came to an unceremonious end last night as they lost to the Philadelphia Phillies 7-1.

Jazz was hitless in the game, going 0-4 with two strikeouts.

The Phillies hitters feasted on Marlins pitching, knocking starter Braxton Barrett out of the game after he gave up two runs in three innings.

His replacements didn’t fare any better giving up five more runs in the game.

JP Realmuto and Bryson Stott hit home runs for the Phillies and Stott’s was a grand slam in the 6th inning to bust the game wide open.

The Bahamas Football Association has announced that the New Providence Primary Schools soccer tournament will be renamed the Dawn Knowles Primary Schools soccer tournament.

Knowles served as senior education officer for 28 years for physical education in the Ministry of Education and she was instrumental in the founding and running of the tournament during her career.
