UNITED STATES – Republican VP nominee JD Vance and Democratic Nominee Tim Walz face off in their first debate tonight in New York City, 5 weeks before the U.S. election.

Vance, a 40-year-old senator from Ohio, was chosen by Donald Trump, while Walz, the 60-year-old Governor of Minnesota, was tapped by Kamala Harris.

Both are military veterans with different political styles.

This could be their last chance to sway voters.

With Harris and Trump said to be neck-and-neck in the polls, Reuters reports tonight’s debate might have a big impact on the final stretch of the campaign.
