NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Jonquel Jones notched another double-double to help the Liberty beat her former team, the Connecticut Sun 89-81 Tuesday night.

JJ scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. She also had a block party in the paint, swatting a season-high 4 shots.

Breanna Stewart had 24 points and nine rebounds to lead the Liberty. Dijonai Carrington led the Sun in scoring with 23 off the bench.

The Liberty will take on the defending champs, the Las Vegas Aces on Thursday night

Jazz Chisholm returned to the Miami Marlins roster in a big way last night, going 3-4 with a double and 3 RBIs as the fish blew the Red Sox doors off 10-1.

It was Jazz’s first game back after he suffered a foot injury running into a wall over a month and a half ago.

Meanwhile, Chicago Cubs prospect BJ Murray has been named to the NL roster in the major league futures game during the all-star festivities next month in Seattle.

The game is an exhibition designed to showcase the next generation of major league baseball players.

If the Cubs sent him to play in it, that means they think he’ll be on the north side real soon.
