The Bahamian Sprinter and his Teammates Swept the 200M In the Little Apple.

Manhattan, KS, USA. Texas Tech Sprinter Terrance Jones was one of the NCAA’s best last season, running one of the fastest times in the 100M in the world while picking up a host of accolades. He’s starting 2024 up where he left off last year, leading Texas Tech to a sweep of the 200m at the DeLoss Dodds Invitational at Kansas State University.

The record-breaking runner came first in the event, finishing in a time of 20.57 seconds. His teammates Jack Marshall and Jalen Drayden were right behind him in second and third place with respective times of 21.17 and 21.21 seconds respectively.

According to the US Track and Field Coaches Association poll, Texas Tech is the best team in NCAA track and field. There’s no doubt that Jones’ and his teammates’ performance in Kansas played a role in achieving that ranking.

They’ll try to hold on to their number-one ranking this weekend at the David Hemry Valentine Invitational this weekend hosted by Boston University.
