UNITED STATES – Jonquel Jones and the New York Liberty rebounded from their first loss of the season in dominant fashion.

She finished with a game high 9 rebounds and 6 points in New York’s 102-80 win over the Portland Fire on Thursday night.

It’s been an Eastern Conference leading 3-1 start to the season under the new Chris DeMarco regime, and also, the Liberty have a week off before they host the Golden State Valkyries Thursday in Brooklyn.

Daxon Signs With Toronto Argonauts

Denzel Daxon is officially heading to the Canadian Football League.

Daxon signed with the Toronto Argonauts after he was selected in the second round of the CFL Global Draft.

Out of Illinois, he signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent, and appeared in three preseason games with 7 tackles and a half sack before he was released and signed with the Arizona Carinals Practice Squad.

Robinson Hits Fourth HR of the Season

Kristian Robinson continues his production for the Feno Aces highlighted by a big performance this week when he went 2-3 with a home run, a double, 3 RBI’s and two walks in an 8-6 win over Las Vegas.

Through 40 games this season, Robinson is hitting .296 with an .892 OPS, four home runs, 21 RBI’s and 6 stolen bases.
