NASSAU, BAHAMAS – It is known as the red mass and it is a tradition that dates back to the 13th century, marking the beginning of the legal year.

Archbishop, the most Rev. Patrick Pinder, says this is a time to invoke the holy spirit upon all of those involved in the administration of justice in the country.

Chief Justice, Ian Winder, expresses his pleasure to resume the tradition post pandemic.

President of The Bahamas Bar Association Kahlil Parker adding that this week, the official opening of the legal year takes place on Wednesday January 11th.
