NASSAU, BAHAMAS – It’s been several years since Grand Bahama has had a full-scale Junkanoo parade due to Hurricane Dorian and the COVID-19 pandemic but come January 2, at 5pm, residents and visitors alike will have the opportunity to take in the full experience on Pioneers Way in Freeport.

Chairman of the Grand Bahama Junkanoo Corporation Andrew Been says spectators can expect a grand experience on Pioneers Way come January 2.

Cultural Affairs Officer at the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, Monique Leary says there are 47 vendors on board.

The parade route will be a no bottle zone.

Officer in Charge of Traffic, Superintendent Alphonzo Pinder announcing several road closures due to the parade starting 3pm on January 2.
