NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A jury has unanimously acquitted a man accused of paying a schoolgirl for sex after the defense questioned her credibility.

Vincent Rahming, 60, faced a charge of unlawful sexual intercourse after a 15-year-old girl alleged that he’d given her money for sex on April 18, 2024.

He denied the charge at his trial before Justice Dale Fitzpatrick.

The girl made the allegations after her mother questioned her about where she had gotten money.

According to the evidence, the daughter initially claimed that she had found the money on the bus and then later claimed that she had been saving her lunch money.

She later said that she had “begged a man for money and juiced him” after her mother didn’t believe her explanations about the source of the money.

With no other evidence to support the allegations, defense lawyers Cassie Bethel and Tamika Roberts said the jury could not believe an admitted liar.
