NASSAU , BAHAMAS – This was a concert that many hip hop fans had been waiting for.

New Orleans rap icon Juvenile made his long-awaited debut performance in The Bahamas, taking the stage at the Jon Batiste Jazz Club at Baha Mar.

Our Denielle Miller was there as the hip hop legend brought high energy and classic hits to a sold-out crowd.

Juvenile – Recording Artist
“They’re going to find out that I got a lot of energy.”

He certainly wasn’t kidding about that.

On June 24 and 25, platinum-selling rapper Juvenile, backed by the 400 Band, lit up the Jon Batiste Jazz Club at Baha Mar during his first-ever performances in The Bahamas.

Delivering fan favorites from his extensive catalog, including “Slow Motion,” “Project Chick,” and “Back That Thang Up,” the performance took many fans on a trip back to the late 1990s and early 2000s.

While many arrived dressed for an upscale evening, they quickly traded their composure for excitement as they sang along, danced, and enjoyed every moment of the show.

Randia Coakley – Attendee
“I was supporting the artist that came all the way from New Orleans to perform in The Bahamas, and we wonderful supporters and fans enjoyed every minute of it. I loved it.”

Pierce – Attendee
“Incredible. The guy has no misses.”

And for longtime fans, seeing Juvenile perform live in The Bahamas was a moment they had been waiting years to experience.

Freddie Lightbourne – Attendee
“Growing up in the ’80s and living in the South, from 1998 to 2001 when Juvenile really blew up, that means something special to me.”
