NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Early Friday afternoon Our Sports confirmed that former Charlotte Hornets forward Kai Jones will play on the national team next month, as first reported by 10th Year Seniors.

The team will play Puerto Rico in the first window before FIBA 2025 Americup qualifiers next month.

The first matchup is scheduled for February 22 in Puerto Rico.

The team will then come home and play on February 25th at the Kendall G.L. Isaacs Gym.

Our guys are in a tough pool with defending Olympic gold medalist USA, the aforementioned Puerto Rico and Cuba. They’ll have to play each opponent twice in a home and away.

The top three teams in each pool will qualify for the 2025 games.

Women’s College Basketball

The Ole Miss Lady Rebels, coached by Grand Bahamian Yolett McPhee-McCuin, bounced back from Sunday’s loss to LSU with a 58-55 win against the Auburn Tigers Thursday night.

Marquesha Davis led the squad with 15 points and six rebounds while Madison Scott ran the offense to the tune of eight assists to go along with her 10 points.

They played their trademark stifling defense against Auburn, holding them to 29% shooting from the field and 3 of 12 from 3.

They also outrebounded them 43-25.
