THAILAND – An emotional scene at a temple in northeastern Thailand on Friday as parents began the gruesome task of identifying their slain children.

These are the victims of the worst massacre of children in history, by a single killer.

23 children between 2 and 5 years old were slashed to death while adults were shot.

a 34-year-old former police sergeant facing drug charges, killed 37 people – in addition to his wife and son, before killing himself as police launched a manhunt.

On Friday the victims’ parents collapsed into tears on the ground as they were reunited with the bodies of their children.
