VATICAN CITY – A historic moment for Christian unity is ahead, as King Charles III and Pope Leo XIV will pray together in the Sistine Chapel next week.

The October 23 service marks the first time since the Reformation that heads of the Church of England and the Catholic Church will join in prayer.

Charles, who will receive a new honorary title during his visit, is following in the footsteps of his late mother Queen Elizabeth II.
