Knowles, a freshman quarterback for Georgia Tech, threw the first pass of his collegiate career in the fourth quarter of the Yellow Jackets’ 59-12 win over gardner webb on saturday.

The son of tennis icon Mark Knowles, his screen pass to dean patterson went 84 yards for the game’s final score and georgia tech improved to 2-0 on the season.

Prince Strachan was ruled out of USC’s 59-20 win over Georgia Southern with an ankle injury.

Sprint hurdler Otto Laing, has announced his transfer from San Jose State to the UCLA Bruins.

Laing was the runner-up in the 110m hurdles at the 2025 Mountain West Outdoor Championships with a personal best of 13.95 seconds in the 110m hurdles, and 7.89 seconds in the 60m hurdles.

Quartermiler Lacarthea Cooper, will continue her career with the Texas A&M Aggies.

Cooper, a former JUCO national champion and Olympic qualifier with the thunderbirds spent last season with the UNLV Runnin Rebels last season where she ran a personal best in the indoor 400m – 53.34 seconds.

Johnathon Cooper and Jalen Cadet will both transfer to the Tarleton State Texans in the Western Athletics Conference.

Rodgers is another product of the thunderbirds pipeline while Cadet makes the move from the UTEP Miners.

From a former marlin to one working his way up the system in the organization – Ian Lewis has had a seamless transition to high-A.

Ian Lewis delivered in the clutch for the Beloit Sky Carp, coming through with a walk-off SAC fly to seal a dramatic 3-2 win over the Preoria Chiefs and help punch Beloit’s ticket to the playoffs.

The Sky Carps’ season continues tomorrow night in the Midwest League Divison Playoffs against Cedar Rapids.

Since his promotion to High-A, Lewis has been one of the team’s most consistent sparks at the plate and on the bases. In 27 games with Beloit, he’s batting .314 with 9 RBI, a remarkable 19 stolen bases, and an .772 ops.
