NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A long time coming is how Labour and Public Service Minister Pia Glover-Rolle is describing the recently announced salary review for the public sector. Prime Minister Philip Davis announced in Parliament that $10 million has been set aside for the review. Glover-Rolle says the government has the will to make it happen.

The prime minister defended the plan in Parliament yesterday while bashing the Free National Movement for what he says was spreading baseless news about the administration’s decision to allocate funds toward the process. Party Chairman Dr. Duane Sands recently questioned how the money will be used. Glover-Rolle says it’s important public servants see movement in their careers.

But when will this happen? Glover-Rolle mentioned the process is expected to begin in the upcoming fiscal year and will align with the fiscal strategy.
